EDISON INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY was founded on the premise of providing an all- round development of a child- spiritually, academically, physically, socially and emotionally. We are living in an era when the things that were considered abnormal are now normal; academic and moral standards are on a decline on daily basis; children no longer consider themselves confident of facing their tomorrow and conquering future challenges that may stand between them and their dreams. It is this bad!
EDISON INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY, children are taken from whatever form, processed and turned out as complete, confident, spiritually minded, socially adaptive and academically sound individuals.
We believe that with a combination of highly motivated instructors, conducive learning environment and availability of state-of-the-art educational facilities, our children are in for an experience of a life time.
Education success is a journey that children must be allowed to walk through in life joyfully. Education journey for every child in “EDISON INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY” will be enjoyable and successful.
Our school provides world class education through well-equipped ICT laboratory. The leadership skills inculcated into our children are second to none as they are trained from the early stages of life and given responsibilities within the school system.
Moreover, the presence of God and the ambience within the school environment leaves in our visitors an aura of fulfilment and confidence that in turn makes them not to keep their children in any other school. This is what makes us truly unique.

EDISON INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY has been designed to be a first class school that will promote an all- round development of a child spiritually, academically, physically, socially and emotionally. The school activities are designed to embrace the three domains of learning- cognitive, affective and psychomotor. With these in mind, the school is located in a conducive learning environment, with good standard facilities and well qualified staff that enable the children to excel in academics and all human endeavors.
In addition to curricular activities, we conduct various co- curricular activities such as physical fitness and sports, clubs and societies, excursion, leadership training, exhibitions, debate, quiz, musical and cultural displays, and variety entertainment. These activities give pupils rich and diverse school experiences.
In summary, with these well designed curricular and co- curricular activities of the school, every child that passes through EDISON INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY comes out to be a role model. This is our focus.

The year consists of three terms of 12- 14 weeks. A week is Monday- Friday. School hours of attendance are in line with F.C.T guidelines.
Textbooks are sourced from the publishers based on the recommended textbooks that are in line with the curriculum.

We allocate specific days for parents/guardians to come and observe their children in action, providing them with insights into the daily routines, classroom activities, and overall learning environment. These designated days are communicated to parents/guardians through newsletters, typically at the end of each term.
During these visits, parents/guardians have the chance to witness their children’s engagement in the learning process and interact with teachers to discuss any concerns or issues affecting their children’s academic performance. These conversations with teachers serve as valuable opportunities to address specific challenges, gain a deeper understanding of their child’s progress, and work together to devise strategies for improvement.
By fostering an environment of transparency and regular communication, we encourage a strong partnership between parents/guardians and teachers. This collaborative approach allows us to create a supportive network that nurtures the holistic development and academic success of each student at EDISON INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY.
EDISON INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY is proud to have a Parents/Teachers Association (PTA) that plays an integral role in fostering a strong school community. We strongly encourage all parents/guardians to actively participate in the PTA meetings.
The PTA serves as a platform for open communication, collaboration, and shared decision-making between parents/guardians and teachers. It provides an opportunity for parents/guardians to contribute their perspectives, ideas, and concerns regarding their children’s education and overall school experience.
Meeting days for the PTA are scheduled periodically, and we ensure that these dates are effectively communicated to parents/guardians. This is typically done through various channels, such as newsletters, school websites, or other communication platforms.
Attending PTA meetings allows parents/guardians to stay informed about important updates, policies, and initiatives related to the school. It also provides an avenue for parents/guardians to interact with teachers, administrators, and other parents, fostering a sense of community and collaboration.

At EDISON INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY, we recognize that the quality of our academic staff plays a vital role in the success of our institution. Therefore, our management places great importance on recruiting and employing highly qualified and experienced teachers who meet high academic standards.
When making appointments, we prioritize candidates who hold a good university degree in education, ensuring they have received comprehensive training in pedagogy and subject-specific knowledge. Additionally, we require a minimum of two years of post-primary school teaching experience, enabling us to benefit from the expertise and practical classroom skills of our teachers.
By setting these criteria, we aim to ensure that our teaching staff possesses the necessary qualifications, knowledge, and experience to deliver high-quality education to our students. We believe that the combination of a strong academic foundation, coupled with practical teaching experience, allows our teachers to provide effective instruction and support to students at all levels.
